Juvenile
The juvenile division includes both dependency and delinquency. Juvenile dependency relates to all persons under the age of 18 who have been removed from their home by the Department of Children and Families for allegations such as neglect or abuse. Juvenile delinquency includes any person under the age of 18 charged with a crime. The Department of Juvenile Justice handles matters relating to delinquency such as detention and probation. Please note that all juvenile records and court proceedings are CONFIDENTIAL. NO information regarding either dependency or delinquency will be disclosed by phone. A parent or legal guardian must appear at the Clerk’s Office in person with a valid identification in order to obtain any information regarding their child’s case.
